Tasting Notes

No one will ever question what type of coffee is my favorite.  It is always a dry process Ethiopian coffee.  In fact, I'm always on the lookout for a perfectly fruited one and when I find one to my liking, I buy as much as I can of it.  This is the coffee for me.  I drank some this morning that was about 3 days off roast and it was perfection in a cup.  The added rest helped bring out amazing strawberry notes with a chocolate finish.  My goodness! that is a good cup of coffee.

Coffee Production / Farm:

Guji is a sub-city of Sidamo located in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region (SNNPR) of Ethiopia.  It is located in the Oromio region which lies in the southern part of Sidamo and is named after a tribe of the Oroma people.  The people of Guji have a long tradition of coffee cultivation. Coffee farmers in Guji are small-scale landholders but they have larger acres of land when comparing to other coffee growers in the country.  They speak mainly Afaan Oromo and Amharic languages. This particular coffee comes from the town of Majo inside the district of Birbisa Kojowa.
