Burundi coffees are always so good, a nice blend of subtle fruit and African coffee complexity. This one has the flavor notes of delicious chocolate covered cherries. It is tart and juicy like a fresh cherry but also has a layered complexity of dark chocolate. Another way to describe this one is what most people say, "that's just a good cup of coffee."
About The Farm / Origin
The Nemba Washing Station was built in the late nineties and collects coffee cherries from micro plantations located on the surrounding high altitude hills close to the Conga-Nile Crest. Here, they collect cherries from over 3100 local coffee farmers spread over the 15 neighboring collines. During the season, Nemba processes more than 750 tons of coffee.
